“The owner of the hostel was drunk and we could not get any sense out of him. The keys for the rooms were left unattended by the bar so anybody had access to them. The lock on our door was falling off and the room was filthy. I paid for 2 nights and i didnt stay one night because i didnt feel safe there. The worst hostel i have ever been to.

Ascot Stonegrill Backpackers is located in central North Rockhampton and is within zero to 10 mins walk for all of the following:

Premeir bus stops at our front door (let the driver know you're staying here when you board)
Local & great Keppel island buses stop at our from door.
15 minutes walk to city centre.
24 hour check in for advanced bookings..entry code emailed to you for after hours access.
Ccourtesy bus avail for pick ups/ drop offs at 6.30 am and 6.30pm.
free use of facilities from check out time (10 am) to 6 pm
and free luggage storage.
Daytrips are available to the Capricorn Caves, Koorana Crocodile Farm, Cooberie Park Koala sanctuary, cattle farm and wildlife creek along with Great Keppel Island packages of 1,2,3 days or more.
