Hotel Darcet

“The mattresses are good, the staff is very friendly, the hotel is in a good location. End of the good sides, now the story. Night one Me and my mate arrived at the hotel, to be informed that they overbooked, so we had to go to another place (provided by the staff). Not a good start. Night two and three: We finally get into our room the second day. As we open the door, a bad furnished room shows up to our eyes with a deep smell of fustiness. It wouldn't be much of a fuss, but not only the furnishment was low quality, there was also wallpaper coming off the wall and mold in the corners. The heater made loud dripping sound, luckily no water coming out, and some wires were showing. The walls were so thin you had too much information of what people in other rooms were doing (if you get what i mean). The lights in the room were really low and you had difficulties in seeing at night. The tapestry on the floor was clearly old and full of stains. The bathroom was dark, bad aired (if any, cause it had no windows), with mold in some places and a very short supply of soap was available. Breakfast was decent, but nothing special, i think the standard you can have in . Definitely not worth the price we paid.

“inizialmente ci hanno dato due camere fatiscenti, il bagno con gli scrichi aperti, un vero schifo, poi abbiamo chiesto di cambiare camera e il bagno era un pochino meglio, niente sapone niente shampoo veramente da non consigliare, la colazione poverissima in tavolini piccolissimi e in piùpagando con la carta di credito addebitano una tassa del 1,6 %. non mi è piaciuto proprio per niente, abbiamo cercato altro ma nella zona erano tutti nelle stesse condizioni

“Great staff however we were moved to another hotel the first night. The 2nd night we spent in a room in the basement and we were then moved to the "penthouse suite" for the remaining 2 nights. The staff were very accommodating for this inconvenience though. On checkout we had to leave very early in the morning and they provided breakfast to take away with us.

“The Hotel Darcet was experiencing problems with their water supply when I arrived and so I was sent to their sister hotel-Hotel De Paris-which was a 2 minute walk away. The man on reception in the Hotel Darcewt was very friendly and helpful and appologised for the inconvienience. The receptionist at the Hotel De Paris was very unfriendly and unhelpful however! Wish I had managed to stay in my original hotel choice!!! Oh and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have EVER had the misfortune to sleep in! :o(

“Hotel Darcet's staff is fabulous!!!! i had to leave early (5 am) on my date of departure and they offered and prepared breakfast for us before we left (which was 2 hours early from when they are supposed too). GREAT PLACE!!! location isnt bad, we were able to walk from the Louvre to Darcet. I definately reccommend it

“Ok. I'd heard a lot of negative chatter about the hotel but my experience was VERY positive. Attentive staff, excellent security and very clean. There were some obnoxious Americans making a ridiculous amount of noise at 2:00 am, but that was not the fault of the hotel. And, of course, I took care of that problem. Kudos to the hotel and staff.
