“our room had approx 10 inches around the end of the bed and possibly 18 inches on the edge which was not against the wall, the door of the room had a lock but could not be closed because the end of the bed prevented it, therefore NO security. My 'bed head' was an open fire grate - not very appealing, the extra pillows were without pillowcases and were grubby. the bathroom sink was a tiny handbasin usually fitted in small downstairs toilets. Our room was A in No.27, the house was cold and not very welcoming, although the main house (No. 25) was more cheery. It was somewhere to stay overnight but not very enjoyable and we would not return.

Description

Welcome to Botanic View B&B in our new location at 3 Iona Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 (formerly at 25 Botanic Road). Our new premises has been completely renovated and upgraded in 2008 so we can offer you a comfortable stay while in Dublin. Photographs of new premises will be on site from early December 2008. We are located just 15 minutes by taxi from Dublin Airport and only 25 minutes walk from O’ Connell Street.

Most rooms at Botanic View B&B are en-suite and have multi-channel TV but there are 2 rooms not en suite at a reduced price to suit those travellers on a budget. If you are coming to Dublin for work or study purposes, please enquire about our self-catering rates whereby rooms are let on a weekly/monthly basis for those wishing to stay for longer periods.

Smoking is not permitted in any of the rooms but smoking facilities are available outside of the house.

Breakfast is served from 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and consists of full Irish breakfast or a vegetarian option if required. A Continental breakfast is available for those who have to depart early.

Tea and coffee is available at all times and there are numerous restaurants and pubs, catering for all tastes and price ranges, within walking distance of the B&B.

There are parking facilities for guests.
