I felt very safe at this hostel, but not much else. There seemed to be little guest interaction, and the rooms were very spare/institutional. Good for a peaceful sleep. Bad for making travel buddies. A fantastic doner kebab restaurant next door was a big plus, though.

We had the best time in Dublin and the stay at Citi Hostels was great. The staff was very helpful especially Gerard (I hope I got that right - he worked the night shift on July 26, the night we left). We needed to get to Belfast and he was helpful in suggesting the way home for us and it worked out - even letting me use his computer to change my reservation. He says they will soon add internet access and that will be fabulous. We recommend this place to anyone travelling to Ireland. It was only a 10 minute walk (really) from Temple Bar and therefore ideal for us. The value was great. It would be good if they added a continental breakfast (just some juice and breakfast rolls), but overall a fabulous deal.
