Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Varied reports on breakfasts from "very good" to "best ever in a hotel/guest house".

I did leave a questionaire completed in my room. It would have been nice to have a couple of packets of biscuits to go with the drinks

Very grateful to check in at 7.00 in the morning after sailing in the early hours, instead of having to wait till 2.00pm the staff where very pleasent and helpful. Would stay there again.

We found the cooked breakfaast poor as the bacon was like leather and overcooked. It was not how we imagined an Irsih breakfast to be. Apart from that there was good variety. We would also have liked there to have been milk supplied in our room for coffees etc.

We had some difficulty getting a non-smoking room - the first one we were moved to, which was supposed to be non-smoking, reeked of smoke, but they finally gave us one, which did have the sign on the door. Can you ensure that this sort of preference is clearly high-lighted in your booking process, as most places in the world are now smoke-free in travel and accomodation. Being in admin/customer service type work myself, it is one of those little knots that ought to be easy to straighten out. Otherwise, it was great - quiet street, comfy beds and a lovely Irish farm-type full breakfast! Thanks for the chance to comment sincerely, Andrew Cole

I did not stay at egan's guesthouse. i booked over the internet, paid my deposit, and then got and email saying it was unfortunately full. it was actually quite an inconvenience for me.
