“If your visit to Rome is purely for sightseeing and touring and all you want is somewhere good to sleep and refresh then this is the place to stay. Its fairly basic - room with bed, tv, table, Shower-room. Its very clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Please don't be put off buy the outside building as it is part of a condo. I rate the hotel 4 out of 5 only because the front of the hotel does not look like a hotel. But, once inside it is great. If I was to return to Rome I would definitely use this hotel again and would recommend it to friends.

“Location is perfect. Staff friendly. Our room was small, no daylight, uncomfortable chairs, bathroom so-so. too much money for this room.

“Spotlessly clean. Fantastic location. Great rooms and if you were not on the front they were very quiet. Staff were all extremely helpful. Breakfast in the room worked fine for us as we are not huge fans of hotel dining rooms. You CAN pay by credit card even though confirmation email will tell you it's cash only. A lovely 3 nights.

“Very clean and airy room, no served breakfast but croissants and fruit juice left in the room every day so no need to buy breakfast. In our triple room we had a frige and hob so we could have cooked if we wanted. Not the sort of place to go if you want somewhere with a lounge, bar, etc but in Rome you want to be out and about all the time and this is perfect for it. Very clean, own set of keys to hotel so had a lot of independence.

“The Aena was a welcome respite from the crazy activity of Rome. We booked a return visit on our way home and were welcomed back warmly. The owners and staff were quick to respond and anxious to make our stay pleasant in every way.
