“It would be great if you had fans in the rooms! Also the internet is extremely uncomfortable to use.

“The room was tiny, had old sqeeking iron beds - when there was supposed to be a double bed - and had one plastic chair. There was no closet to put your clothes in and there was only one bathroom on our floor. The toilet paper ran out and wasn't replaced until we asked for it. The room was also in another building which was far less attractive than the advertised (that wasn't mentioned in the info). The outside door was almost inpossible to open, and we broke a key into it trying to get in. It also got pretty cold at night but I guess that goes for all Venice. (And there was a spare planket!) When we asked to change rooms to have a double bed, we got a decent room with a closet and a wash basin. The staff was nice but we had to find out for ourselves that we had the right for a breakfast near by. Still: the place was right in the middle of heated night life and wasn't expensive. If yoy don't plan on spending time in the hotel it's okay.

“Everything was Great, I really enjoyed my stay, on little detail is the hot water in the bathroom for D7 needs to be fixed. I just wanna say how great the guy who works the all night shift until 6am, was Wonderful! Very friendly and helpful, he helped me see that Verona is not just the city of Romeo and Juliette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Beware! This Hotel is not a Hotel at all, in fact it is a B&B. The pictures are misleading as the owners have various B&B's around Venice. Our stay went as follows: Arrived and was greeted by pleasant staff, they gave us directions to the place where we were to be staying (across the square). The room was large but the place was in disarray. Lights were not working, there was no powerpoints except in the main room - which was shared with other occupants. The shower sprayed all over the bathroom and the lights in the bedroom had electrical cables hanging out (no light though). Also, there was no ambience in the room from the square outside - the students partied until 3am and then at 5am the stalls arrived to setup for the markets - followed at 8am by continuous church bells that rang non-stop for 10 minutes! We asked the owner if we could swap to the back room (away from the square as the B&B had two rooms), he said 'no problem' and asked us to come back later that day to collect the keys. We arrived back at 4pm (well after checkout time) and the owner rummaged around for a good ten minutes looking for the keys to say that they were not there. He then said that the people staying there must have taken them and only the cleaner had the other set?!? Fair enough we thought, he then offered us another place far from the square (remember, this is not a hotel - it's a B&B) - after walking to it and checking it out we decided to stay in the same room for one more night. Imagine our surprise when at 12 midnight, occupants from the other room arrived! After confronting the owner the next morning explaining that the room had been booked and asking for an explanation he had none. He said they must have stayed an extra night without letting him know. Unfortunately this is the way it goes with this hotel, lies after lies - we cancelled our last night there and checked into a 'real' hotel for a fraction more and were well impressed. We have stayed at many locations throughout Europe and never had service such as this. Half of one of our days were spent trying to sort out the move to a different room. The owner explained to me as well that reviews would not affect his business. Having read other reviews on this 'Hotel' now I see many of the complaints are well justified. The other options in Venice would be my recommendation and only stay here if there is no other option available at all!

“The location was great but it was really noisy. Also we ordered a twin room and they gave us a double bed.

“The price was right, the location in the student quarter was fine. The room was very smelly which made it a bit unpleasant. I found one of the desk staff to be patronizing and a bit creepy. He's the french one that checked us in. I'm 50 yrs old, seen a lot - this guy gave me the creeps.

“The directions to find it were easy to follow. The location was great (convenient to the train station and main sights, but away from the tourist hordes....hopping night time scene!) and the staff was very wonderful and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms were clean and pleasant (and I'm fussy!). Mosquito screens would be a great improvement. Internet access was greatly appreciated. We had a great stay here and highly recommend it to others. We will return!

“The room was nice, and provided a good view of the square...close to Frari, eateries and a veporetto stop. The bathroom however was old and needs a lot of work. It was not very clean either. A little work by the owner/management could help a lot to improve this place.
