“The location of the hotel was excellent as it was just 2 streets away from the main shopping street in Edinburgh. Staff were friendly & welcoming. Cooked breakfast could do with an overhaul as was very greasy. No lift in the hotel as building is listed, stairs are for mountain climbers.

Description

The Ballantrae Hotel is situated in the centre of Edinburgh. Two minutes walk from Princess Street with famous shopping and historical sites. Only fifteen minutes walk from the Royal Mile and the site of the new Scottish Parliament. The hotel is a grad A property built in the late Regency early Georgian style is a magnificently appointed and retaining original Georgian features.

A wide range of rooms is available to suit all needs including family rooms and honeymoon suites. All rooms are recently refurbished and are all fully en-suite. Facilities provided include a colour television, telephone, and tea- and coffee-making facilities and daily chambermaid service.
