Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 4th June 2008 Couple 25-30 1/5 Comments: don't stay here! there is a list of "rules" that are more strict that any over-protective mother i have ever met. they spray stinky perfume to mast the odor of the sewage pipe running through the room. the house manager is meddling and NO HELP! we had a problem with our wi-fi and when we asked for help he literally pulled a disappearing at. this place bummed us out and we will NEVER stay here again.

The apartments are within easy walking distance of las ramblas. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating.

We were asked for a deposit to cover any damage to the room - there was nothing to damage. Very basic. Our room was inspected the last night and we were told 3 times we would receive our deposit back but did not. The landlady seem to have conviently disappeared. We left contact details and we have since contacted the apartments but have received no deposit refund or correspondance as to why we were not entitled to it back.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Australia 27th August 2007 Couple 25-30 3/5 Comments: You need to get rid of the bed bugs. they are in several rooms that you showed me. the bites ruined my holiday - had to take antihistamine the whole time and needed to move to your place as well as had a very bad sleep. When I showed you the bugs you need to ensure noone sleeps in the rooms until the mattresses are thrown away as there were a lot of dead bugs and stains around. Very unhealthy for such a nice looking place!

Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung, und die Lage war super, total ruhig und sehr nah an Plaza Catalunya(ca.5 mani zu Fuß). Aber die Wände sind sehr dünn, man hört seinen Nachbarn schnarchen...und nach dem Frühstück muss man sein Zeug selber spühlen und es wird nicht einmal das Zimmer sauber gemacht. Dafür ist aber die Leiterin eine ganz liebe Philippinerin. Trotzdem, alles in einem für den Preis haben ir mehr erwartet.... :(

Both on several occassions. As a result we were stranded in Barcelona during high season with no accomodation. Tourist office Barcelona called the hostel phone numbers on our behalf but received the same voicemail message as ourselves. We spent several days trying to get in touch with the contact but obviously to no avail. The experience ruined our holiday. We have booked with trav many times in the past and were extremely dissapointed that this had to happen. We lost our 5 day deposit for two people to the value of 35euro as well as being forced to pay above our budget for alternative accomodation at that late stage.
