I found the staff to be quite unhelpful and a bit clueless, also,they weren't too interested in cleanliness, there was a pile of rubbish bins outside the "hotel" the whole time we were there. In saying that, our room wasn't bad for the price, 2 beds and an en suite bathroom. However, the plumbing in the bathroom wasn't the best.Overall, pretty cheap for a decent room, but don't expect anything else.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Ireland 29th February 2008 - 18-24 3/5 Comments: The staff here were really lovely when they were around but were sometimes hard to find, the reception doubles as a bedroom for a few of the employees... Room had the usual tea-making facilities as well as a TV with DVD player, fridge and microwave which let us make ourselves at home. There was painting and repairs being done while we were there and the whole place looks really bright and fresh. No sign of the mould mentioned in a previous review!!! :D Overall a nice place.

Later on in the evenining we came back at 21:30 still no personal, but i spoke to one of the family who run the place. Still noone who could accept our money for the staying. The man said that the on in charge were out shopping and would soon knock on our door. Whne the time was 23:00 we would no sit open no more so we went to bed. At 00:30 someone knocked at our door and demanded payment. All tree of us slept well and i must say i was really pissed of the treatment.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Argentina 8th April 2007 Female 25-30 1/5 Comments: how do you have the courage to ask it was the the worst hostel that i have been in my life . 1 it is not clean ,2 staff very bad, 3 if something happen nobody is there , 4 you lose alot of time waiting for someone went you arrived and went you have to leave the hostel also we wait long time and this person was sleeping and do not what to do. we understand that when they give the key you are responsable for it and when the price is cheaper the service won't be good but someone have to be there to loock after it.i really hope the service impruve in the future and i will wait your answer.

The location is right near the tube station so it takes 15 mins to get to central London. If your arriving at another time than what you indicated ring the staff to let them know because often there are no staff at the lodge.

They had this sign saying do not go downstairs unless you have permission from the manager. Though location is not too bad it is not easy to walk from the station. There was no sign of it was hostel outside either a reception. I had to pay by cash which I was not prepared for as it says on your website that you can pay by credit or debit card. Overall I was not happy with this place at all.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating England 16th July 2006 Mixed Group 18-24 1/5 Comments: we turned up and were then sentaway for an hour because the keys to the rooms were locked in another room that the guy couldnt open. we turned up again later that night-the guy was very unfriendly towards us andthen to top it all off we saw a cockroach running round so we asked for a refund of our money and left. this was all very unnacceptable.

We reserved a room with an ensuite bathroom, but when we got there, they said they did not have any. There were live cockroaches in the room, the sink in the room wouldnt drain, and there were several large stains on the sheets and bedding. Also, the toilet in the shared bathroom would randomly not flush. Overall, would not stay here again.
