Your room is basically a hotel room, with an adjacent bathroom, so you don't have to leave the room to use the facilities. It's right next to the bus station/train station, which means it's a 45 minute walk to Rialto/St. Mark's, but a quick jaunt when arriving/leaving.

But if you want to meet new people to have fun, you might not abe to do that as the hostel is not having a common place. I guess it has lot to do with the place. In place like Venice having a place is like seating on a gold mine. Other things about the hostel are positive.

Some people complain they had to go across the city to their rooms, but if that's true then I didn't get one of those rooms. It's right near the train station. But honestly, will you please invest in a sign? If I hadn't known there wasn't a sign (from other reviewers) I would have had a tough time finding it. And buy new computers. Pentium 1s on Windows 95 are a little old at this point.

Near the buss/trainstation and the vaporetto: ideal!! The weather was terrible in november, but we had the best weekend ever! IT WAS GREAT!! GO TO THIS HOSTEL!!!

Proximity to the rest of the island is the best asset for this hostel, but the rooms are quite comfortable and well maintained, as there were fresh towels and the beds made daily. They will hold your luggage upon arrival or departure, which was an unexpected delight.

Apartment we stayed in was located about a 10 min walk away and had a comfortable twin private room and bathroom for 3 nights, towles were provided in the rooom. Facilities in room were good, fridge and kettle and coop market was close by to purchase items for breakfast. Free luggage storage at the check-in location was good. Bathroom was very clean and there was always hot water each morning.

It was easy to find although the directions described it as a "white palace with a red door" but the entrance is only a small portion of a building in between a restaurant and a shoe shop and the door is more of a dark reddish-brown. I have other stuff to say but the site told me that my comments were too long, but they weren\'t very large complaints just minor annoyances. Overall though I had a pleasant stay in Venice.
