My room smelt of cigarettes and you can hear a pin drop. I was kept up all night and had a really bad broken sleep. They refused to refund my money. A and H Hostel, thanks for such a really crap experiance!!

The area was nice but not near the things we wanted to see (Prado, Plaza del Sol, etc.). Nice and safe, though.

The staff are polite and speak very good english (unlike the rest of Madrid). It may seem far out of the city but it´s not, there´s a metro line very near. Across the road is a fantastic restaurant called Vagana. It was like a mini-honeymoon for us.
