Only fault was strange smell in the staircase of the main building - which didn't really affect our stay! Location was quite good, quick bus ride into centre, so long as you don't mind this it's a great place to stay!

We had selected this b&b because it advertised parking but we were told that the local authorities were doing street cleaning that night and our car would be wheel clamped if it was left outside the premises. So it was a bit of a misleading advertisement.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Australia 3rd October 2006 Mixed Group - 4/5 Comments: we enjoyed our stay at Soggiorno Madrid. our room was very clean including bathroom(which was very important to us). only a 10-15 minute walk to the main train station its quite handy and by the time you walk to the station you are practically in florence main centre. the internet was for free and there for use at anytime which was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. we asked for any suggestions of local places to eatand the place we were told about just down the road was very good food and cheap so we had our dinner there most nights. you also feel very safe there because of the security.excellent property and recommend it to anyone. thanks Soggiorno Madrid!!

Small rooms but well furnished with large beds, air conditioning, TV, fully equipped bathroom, free Internet. I wanted to stay an extra night but since there were no vacancies the owner offered another guesthouse nearby. It was promised to provide the same level of service for a slightly higher price but unfortunately that was not true.

While the location is not the most convenient, it is not terrible. Firenze is small, nothing is too far a walking distance and the bus system is awesome. PS~ there is a really cute breakfast place next store called Totto Calcio and the internet is free!! Wooden floors!!! super posh!
