This is one of the best yet, Great bar/Common room area for meeting people. Nice roof terrace to chill out. All round good atmosphere. 5 minutes from the beach, cool bars close to the hostel, wireless internet was a plus. Cant understand Williams review, hes obviously an en experienced traveler.

The owner does not allow any food in the rooms. Kitchen is private with no access for the guests. Would not stay at this hostel again...

The rooms are clean and offer everything you need. There are enough bathroom in the hostel so one don´t have to wait for one to become free. The hostel itself is situated right in the heart of Marbella and the beach and busstations are close by. I´d stay again at the Hostal del Pilar any time I get back to Marbella. I can recommend it highly! P.S. All the stuff speaks English.

I found the hostel was regularly cleaned which I was very impressed with and found unusual for a hostel. The hostel owner is a lot of fun and very friendly. I was also very impressed with the location of the hostel. It's right in the heart of the old town of Marbella which is exactly where you want to be. It's also a very short walk to the beach. Can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Marbella!

The rooms were well equipped and exceptionally clean. I enjoyed my time there so much that I extended my time there from five days to nine days. The location was phenomenal. The main strip and bars are just outside the door, and the beach is a 5 minute walk. I think there is alot of potential with this hostel... I wish the common room and bar were actually used!
