Comments: This is a hotel not a youth hostel that Ronda doesn't have so it's a bit more expensive you can't cook or maybe meet other travellers asinahostel, but it's a great place. Lovely view to the mountains and the gorge, nice outdoors swimming-pool for a dive. Ronda is a great town the best place I've seen in Andalucia. If you have a chance visit the surrounding natural parks and caves. Its probably not the place for fun lovers but for backpackers who enjoy travelling nature history and other cultures

Comments: Husa Reina Victoria is not a hostel--it is a hotel. E.g., the breakfast option is a 12 euro buffet and when we asked for a good local dinner reco they suggested a place averaging about 30 euro/plate. That said, it is very close to the bus station, about 10 minutes (uphill) from the center of town, a great break from hostels if you're on a long trip and a huge steal on trav.com compared to booking directly (about 1/2 off). If you're looking for an oasis in the middle of a week of raucous hostel stays, this is the place. If you're hoping to meet fellow travelers and find a communal hostel atmosphere, maybe don't go to sleepy Ronda at all. :)

Comments: Much grander than we expected, definitely not a hostel. Nice en-suite room. Too expensive to eat in but coffee and food readily available close by. Staff speak good English and were helpful when asked. Too many Spaniards smoke (for us non-smoking Scots) but this is due to change indoors in Jan 2006
