The shower was on balkong and there was no place where change clothes. The apartment was divided in to several rooms and in one of those lived some people permamently. They cooked and eaven sing there six in the morning.

There are two locations-- one next to the MRT and one down the block. We were in the one next to the MRT. The lady was extremely nice and accommodating. The day we arrived, she sat down with up and located all the sights we wanted to see, the MRT location, Bus number, times open, etc. There were computers with internet to use for free, drinking water, fairly comfortable hostel. The lady's english wasn't to good though, so some chinese skills would be great.

Fantastic location for a tourist. The showers are on the roof, but they work reasonably well. I felt really comfortable there. The blaring tv (almost constant) in the living area and the bratty kid (who I think was only there on a weekend morning) were the only drawbacks.

What you are told on the website about the place is exactly what you get. No surprises, which is a good thing. If you're on a tight budget it may work for you. But if I returned to Taiwan, I would definitely look for better backpackers. Just walk down the road. You'll pay a bit more, but it's definitely worth the extra cash.

The location is close to the main station and the subway, so although you aren\'t in a great part of the city, you can get anywhere in a few minutes. Taipei was very hot when I visited and the hostel was unbearably hot during the day. Other than that, it was an okay place. I would probably try elsewhere next time, just to see if I could find somewhere a little better.
