Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 31st December 2008 Couple 25-30 3/5 Comments: We enjoyed our stay at The Hive, our only negative remark would be the beds, you could feel the springs in the matress but other then that...great place, great people, great location!! Its a short trip up the MRT line juuust far enough away from the cluster of Little India's main part but close enough to get everywhere you want to see and go. The free internet was a BIG bonus, the rates are very good and breakfast in the morning is a nice touch! Hope to return again one day and will recommend to anyone who is travelling that way.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 20th December 2008 Male 25-30 4/5 Comments: This is an excellent hostel. I would highly recommend The Hive to anyone staying in Singapore. The private rooms are extremely clean, well decorated, quiet, and have air conditioning. The front desk staff is great. It is also in a great location on the border of Little India. The CBD is only 3 stops away on the purple line MRT. My sole complaint would be that one of the 2 restrooms/showers on the private room floor was undergoing renovation, so there was often a wait for a shower in the AM. However, once this is complete, I suspect that will not be an issue.

There are no carpets on the floor just a bare floor which has paint stains etc on it. There are 3 entrances to the hostel and for the first 2 nights I was there the security door did not work so anyone could wander in. Also you don't get a locker and the shower/toilet areas dont have air conditioning so you bake in them. Staff are friendly plus theres free internet

The building is an old shoplot, so all size of space quite small. If you dont mind of sharing bathroom & located at road side, there is a good place to stay. Opposite the field is Boon Keng MRT & bus station, it\'s connected to all place. And thank you all the staff with very friendly & helpful. I wish you can updated the rules with separated the rubbish accordingly to recyle type. THANK YOU!!!

The complimentary breakfast was great (toast and cereals), the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist us when asked. The only down point was that the beds weren\'t that great, however they were adequate, especially when you consider the price for the room. I would stay here again if I came back to Singapore.

Female dorm right next to toilets and thus smelt like urine constantly, and this is also same the area they serve breakfast? Also a lock on the dorm room door might be handy as its closeness to such heavily used area makes me question security even with the lockers. Please note Air con 8pm to 10am should possibly warn guests ahead of time. However handy to transport.

Around the hostel might be able to be dangerous for woman, because right after arriving there, someone chased my bag(actually he was little boy). Except that, you will be ok, maybe as long as you travel in day time. Anyway, I had really good time during staying there.
