The location was a bit bad, although you could take a bus number 7 or 8 from Xàtiva metro station (a non-stop connection to the airport) to the hotel.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 1st September 2008 Female 31-40 1/5 Comments: This was the last hostal I've tried after 10 days in South of Spain and I have to say it ruined my impression about beautiful Spain. I don't recommend anyone going to Waksman hostal in Valencia. The room was smelling like hell, mainly the bathroom. There was no A/C (except of a very noisy ventilator) and the window was facing a terrace with a cover so there was not much air entering the room. We stayed as little as possible because was just horrible. Hostal staff was ok only that they didn't speak English. Location is not really central and is in a big block of flats at 1st floor. This was by far the most unpleasant place I've ever stayed in. For sure it does not deserve the 2 stars. I am also disappointed with your website because there were available hostals in city center (even cheaper) which where not listed here.

Air con unit took up most of the room and was impossible to sleep with it on so it wasa boiling at night!! Toilet flush didnt work, taps were loose!!! Room was tiny and the bed wasnt even a double, Walls really thin could hear everythin from other rooms!! However the staff were extremely good and helped us find places we wanted to see, advised us well and one of them spoke excellent english.

It is very near to Placa dell'Ajuntamento (10-15 minutes by bus) and even nearer to the city of arts&sciences (15 minutes walking or 3 bus stops). Even in the night, the N7 will bring you to home, while in the day, the 8 will get you to the ciudad vella. You can reach the sea very easily with just one bus. The hostel is very clean, it actually seems a hotel: everyday they cleaned the room, the bed & everything. There even is climatization in room, and the hostel has a outside-room where you can smoke, or just relax (actually you could smoke even in your room). The staff is very kind, and always tried to get the informations we needed (how to reach a place, suggesting good places to eat, etc.). It's opened 24/7, and even if it doesn't have a security room, they are very kind and you can safely leave your luggages there.

One strange feature is that the hotel room was used to store a foldaway cot covered in a sheet. The room was pretty average with an assembly of mismatched furniture.

Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The only downside was its distance from the centre and the beach, but its a pretty quick bus ride and the receptionist will be happy to help you figure out which one you need. Would definitely recommend.

Part of the space in the room was occupied by a folded extra-bed. Our feeling of beeing in this room was staying in a dungeon. Thus a much too high price for such a room (56 € per night for 2 persons).

I made a mistake on my booking form and the staff miraculously were able to reorganise sleeping arrangements in the hostel to accomodate. Rooms are very clean, comfy beds, lovely place to stay. It is a short walk (10-15mins) to rail station and metro. Great. Highly recommend!!
