The balcony view is an added bonus. Marco and the staff are friendly and know the in-and-outs of the area. The cafe nearby offers discounts for breakfast if you mentioned you are from Luna Rossa. Great for young couples!

The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the rooms were new and clean, with a computer and skype. The service could not be any better, the main guy there is the best, he made sure our stay was wonderful. I would reccommend to anyone, and will do so for my friends and family visiting Florence.

Marco and his sister are absolutely incredible - they will do anything and everything to help you out. When we told Marco we wanted to watch American football, he made arrangements for us to get a special sports package on our TV so that we could watch the games. The rooms were unbelievable too. It was like a hotel, but better and much cozier. My room had a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, our own balcony, and we even had a computer in our room with a fast internet, skype and all. And if you wanted to contact Marco or the front desk, all you had to do was go on skype and talk to them through that - they were at their computer (at the main desk) 24 hours a day. Marco spent time explaining the map of Florence to us, marking all the important places and recommending bars and restaurants to us. Trust me - take his advice on sights to see. And when we told him about a restaurant we had heard about, he called the restaurant and made reservations for us for that night. I'm telling you - this is the place to stay in Florence. I wish I could stay in a place like this in every city I visit. All for only 25 euros a night. Other places may be slightly cheaper, but this is worth the extra 5-10 euros. Also, take their advice about the horseriding tour run by their friend Sam (an awesome guy). It was one of the most memorable days of my life. Stay at Luna Rossa - you won't regret it.

It is located very close to the central train station, the only problem i had was trying to find the building. Marko is really great, he went out of his way to do things for us. There are two locations (only 2 buildings away from each other), Natasha who worked in the the second location where i stayed was also very friendly and helpful. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

The apartment was really nice, with two bedrooms off a large living room/kitchen with a tv, computer and washing machine. Nice bathroom to share with only one other room. Good location, close to train station and walking distance to all other attractions. Marco was great! Helping us with our heavy bags, calling to make dinner or activity reservations, and always available by message over the computer. He even let me stay in the livingroom after we had checked out to wait for our train because I wasn\'t feeling well! Thanks again!

Location quite good near central train station, 10 min walk from central Florence. The hostel itself was ok, but the room we had was right next to the front door and a communal kitchen area right outside. We were woken up every night by people coming in late & cooking late - one night we didn't get to sleep until 2.30am. Not ideal if you want a good night's sleep.

THE STENCH IN OUR ROOM DID NOT SURFACE UNTIL LATE THAT NIGHT FROM THE BATHROOM AND IT DID NOT LEAVE. WE BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION BUT THE STUFF THAT THEY PUT DOWN THE DRAINS JUST MAKES IT WORSE. its our own fault we should have moved but did not. DON'T STAY IN THE DOUBLE WITH ENSUITE UP THE STAIRS IN THE NUMBER 6 ACC.

We felt 100% comfortable in our room, using all the facilities, and seeing the city- all because of them. Marco is willing to help with anything, and all of the promises made about the hostel are kept 100%. It's not a party palace, so if you want a big fiesta at all hours of the night I would go somewhere else, but Luna Rossa is truly awesome.
