Shared rooms were filthy, stank and the room we were checked into had no lock. No lockers available, we stayed only 5 minutes and left. However private rooms appeared to be okay.

Had reserved a dorm room for me and my friend, ended up in a private twin room with ensuite. Not the best decor but clean and perfectly ok for a few nights. Bit of a trek into town but that was ok. common room upstairs good chance to meet people, free internet - 2 computers working when i was there. use of kitchen facilities.

Ive stayed in both dorms & private rooms, & was always satisfied. The staff & the atmosphere make it feel like a 2nd home. This hostel is suitable for all ages. Its close to all ammenities, a library, parks, & public transportation. Some other more expensive hostels do not meet the standards of this one! Don't assume that low price means low quality. Give it a try & youll see for yourself!

I also made a booking with another hostel around the corner through hostel.com they charged me exactly what was indicated in advance. I do not recomend downtowner inn and i will not stay there again.

Llegamos a las 7 pm a dormir, ya uqe veniamos cansados del viaje, y a la 1 am nos tuvimos que cambiar de habitacion. Muy mal que no revisen las habitacion ants de asignarlas. Continuamos por el problema de las ronchas y las picaduras por 3 dias mas e incluso cuando llegamos Montreal, tuve que lavar toda mi ropa y mi casa.
