Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 13th November 2008 Mixed Group 25-30 4/5 Comments: the farah guesthouse is very nice with a friendly staff! they maybe like to cheat you a little bit with all kind of taxes, but you can joke about and talk with them. the upperst room is quiet cold, but very nice. there are much to less simple guesthouses like this in europe, so go there and enjoi. its claen, confortable, friendly, and good with a supreme location.

I bet its some sort of undercover brothel-when we arrived our room looked like somebody just finished a shift in there. With all possible space used for rooms/work stations there is no reception, common room etc whatsoever, with tinniest bathroom and steepest staircase you can imagine. However, it did the job and its ok if you just need a place to crush. Plus you can always tell your mates that you were staying at a bordello:)

Good value for the price. We had a private bathroom which was just recently renovated. The owner was really nice but you couldn't really see him exept when paying. Not sure if this is only a hostel reffering to the area. Note: it is quite hard to find but look for the name next to house no. 61. Would defo recommend it to other travellers!

It was the nicest hostel we stayed at on our whole three-weeks trip in Europe! I really recommend this hostel to everyone that likes nice and cosy rooms:)

There were old and spoiled food in the refrigerator and the bed linen were used and dirty. Farah is not secure at all. There are no one working in the house and there are no way to look the windows, it is s a problem in the first floor.

Had to share one bathroom with 4 other people. Construction work on a room/bathroom on the middle floor, but it was relatively quiet and it was only in the late morning and early afternoon. The construction workers were very nice too.

There is no curfew and the location is great for that cheap price. we would return to Amsterdam, of course we would stay in Farah guesthouse again. If Amsterdam is your destiny I highly recommend you to stay here.

Dirty sheets,no toilet roll and there was load of old clothes under the bed..its actually these guys house. It was noisey and the guy even tried 2 kick us out 2hrs b4 checkout time bcos he had another guest coming. Very dangerous stairs and i know this place is illegal and it shudnt even be on trav. I was even charged more than i booked it for. They should be reported 2 the police!!!!!
