Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Brazil 24th May 2008 Male 25-30 4/5 Comments: Great hostel. realy nice, from now this is definitelymy hostel in amsterdam, very clean, quiet area but close to the town, we didnt't have to catch any bus or tram to go anywhere, there is a good good shop near by where you can buy your own food to cook at "home", the shower is very good and the owner is a great person to deal with.I suggest to rent a bike what makes a perfect stay in amsterdam. Definitely it's worth it.

In addition, the bathroom was small and a dirty looking. i could touch both walls by just spreading my arms, and one must maneuver oneself around the bathroom just to use the toilet

The location is great and it was good to have the privacy of the house boat and the use of its facilities. Also, it's nice to look out onto the canal and feed the ducks - something which you can't do in a hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Amsterdam. A big thumbs up!

Only downfall is that the boat house is NOT 10 min walk distance as indicated on the description... more like 25 min walk to the center (30 min to the station). So if you go out at night to the pubs, you gotta take a taxi back as it is too far to walk back.

Very Comfortable for 2, although the bathroom is pretty small. We were completely undisturbed while we were there, even at checkout we just put the keys back through the door. Some food was provided for breakfasts and there are facilities to prepare meals. < 15 mins walk to Dam square. Great value for money, would highly recommend it.
