The only drawback was the lack of heating in the room which was a little chilly in Sep, fine for sleeping though as extra blankets were provided.

The hotel's location is great - it is only a 5 min walk from st mark's square and we were also able to walk to central station (a bit of a longer walk but definately possible). Staff at reception were always friendly and eager to help.

Breakfast was decent, and the chocolate drink was very good. Staff at the door was friendly and professional. However, we would book a different place for our next trip to Venice, mainly because the walls had dead mosquitoes and insects squashed on them, and the shower was missing a sliding door so that water got on the floor.

They also let us store our luggage in the office for the entire day after we'd checked out. I'll stay here again!

They won\'t let you store your luggage in your room before it\'s been cleaned, and make you put it in an unlocked room in the center lobby. The hostel is overpriced for the quality of rooms you receive, but livable if you have no other choice. According to one Venetian it was used to torture prisoners before it was renovated, so ghosts walk the halls.

It was completely clean, not only the beds and floor, but the bathroom as well. In a really quiet square, silent, you can sleep very well, relax, and take a walk, for it is in the very center of Venice, 10 min away from Piazza S. Marco. The staff is really strange and not that nice.

I didn't think it was going to be this nice, for this price in the center of Venice, but it was better than expected. Big room, big bathroom, air conditioning, all perfectly cleaned, great breakfast... and it's ten minutes from Piazza San Marco. Really nice staff too. The only bad thing, one of the beds was unstable.

They may not tell you when you make the reservation that you will be in a different building than the one where the reception desk is, but the other building is close, and nice, so do not worry if they start leading you off to another building.
