But the strange little keys (which are designed to wear like a wristwatch, rather than fit in a pocket) were always frustrating to use when unlocking the door took a number of attempts. Also be aware that the rooms are a bit tight for space - 4 people couldnt all stand up at the same time in our 4 bed dorm, and there isnt much space between a bottom bunk & top bunk either.

Only downside was the lack of bedding as it was really cold that weekend and they had to put the heating on instead. But the staff were excellent and friendly and will recommend this place to anyone going to Madrid!

The rooms were fine and toilet/showers as well. The commonroom was nice. We very much enjoyed the breakfast, compared to other places we have been it was very good and it was nice that there were different things to choose from, especially the cornflakes was a big hit:) Very good hostel for that price

Only beef is they shut down the drinks in the common room at midnight. Its open til 3 but you cant bring in outside alcohol and they turn off the beer vending machine (which is sweet that they have one though!)

Prevoir les boules quies quand il y a des groupes scolaires qui séjourne à l'hotel. Très bien placé (près de la gare et des principaux musées).

I stayed in other hostels who charged the same price and the breakfast was better, with bread, cheese, ham, juice, etc... but in a general way, the mad hostel is a very nice and clean hostel to stay.

Downstairs bar/room nice for hanging out/socializing. Clean! Has elevator and laundry. Staff not so friendly compared to other hostels. Overall, not too bad for a hostel.
