I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!! We only stayed one night and immediately checked out the next morning and moved to another hotel.

If alone traveller ask for the single room 208 with view on the Amstel! also expensive like the hole hostels in the "centrum" but we are not here to sleep!

No ironed at all. First look in a room horrified me. I was very dissapointed with it. The owner should do a renovation!

It is very central to everything and overlooking a nice part of the Rokin however it was noisy at the time as there were majuor roadworks out front which we were facing. The rooms were very basic and in need of an overhaul. The bathroom which we had was a bonus for the price even if on a little small side. The staff were friendly and the breakfast very simple. For price in comparison to others and its constant supply of hot water it was good. If you need somewhere just to wash and sleep like us for a weekend away it was fine.

I was given an extra bed which bended in the middle of the night. There is no balance between quality and price.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Germany 10th July 2007 Female 18-24 4/5 Comments: It must be very hard to find a place better located than this in Amsterdam, and that is the biggest plus of Hotel Ajax.But also the people were exceptionally nice, it was all in all quite clean - except some small stains we found on the blanket - only the view was a bit depressing: on a brick wall only ten cm away and covered with pidgeon droppings... But for young people with no extraordinary expectations I would definitely recommend it.

It was warm and welcoming. it was very near the trams and they were quite loud at night so not the best place if you are a light sleeper.
