The host Franco is a great; funny, generous and cooks dinner for everyone everynight. Sit around in the kitchen, drink wine and get to know each other, very social! It is extremely centrally located and is no more than a 10 or 15 min walk to all the major sights and train station. Lockers with locks but sheets cost 5 extra. Only downsides; not enough hot water all the time and plastic covered matresses.

Attend the free dinner because it makes it easy to meet people! AND because the food is delicious. Franco whipped up some tasty meals and then took us all out a few nights in a row. Centrally located -- quite easy to walk to every part of the city. No curfew; no lockout; security lockers in the room (bring a lock with you); spacious rooms; very casual and comfortable.

But the director, Franco, was very sweet, very accommodating all the same. (Even after I late canceled he invited me in for a coffee and dinner!) I would absolutely recommend this to anyone else and would consider staying here if I returned to Florence.

It is free to use the internet and he lent me a lock to lock my things in a cabinet. It is a small hostel and good if you are looking for a social environment. It was good for those looking for a party scene, but also those who wanted just to eat dinner together and drink some wine.

Beds comfy, all separate (no bunks) and rooms big. Great location also....only thing is that the hot water system needs to be better. Franco is awesome..nothing ever a problem, lovely guy.

I know everyone says it but FRANKO is really the best host out there. Dinner was great, common room is small but really fun most nights. Beds are really comfy and NO BUNKS, Finally. We all rolled out to the Twice nightclub which was great. The club was okay but the people i went with were awesome! I most definately recommend it. This place is also equidistant to all the sightseeing districts so you're never too far from anything!
