Comments: Staff very laid back, but helpful and recommended places to go. A little ways from red light district, but quiet. Best breakfast I\'ve ever had at a hostel, the staff cooks eggs for you! Cozy and comfortable, with a great common space.

Comments: A great place to stay in Amsterdam, I would recommend it to anyone. Location is great, near the train station and the center, in a very nice part of town. Staff very nice (the cat too!).

Comments: Great place in a great area. Internet is affordable, breakfast is free and the best we had during our travels. Homey the cat is awesome and the staff were helpful, though rather eccentric.

Comments: Really nice staff, no lockers though, and the showers had issues. An egg, cheese, and all the bread that you want for breakfast, which was nice. They have a Pool Table, and a computer to use internet. It was expensive for what it offered. If you find it for less than 25 euros, then its fine.

Comments: great place, with a lot of character. the narrow, steep staircase was a little daunting with roller suitcases. breakfast in the morning was great! the walls in the lobby were really cool too and the staff was very friendly.

Comments: The hotel provided a good level of service and its quite small size gives it a very personal feel. I felt the staff knew a lot about the area and provided useful advice about the city. I also liked the way vistors are provided with a key to the front of the hotel therefore enabling them to access their room at anytime of the day. The louge part in the hotel was also very plesant.

Comments: My son and I took our first trip to Amsterdam and couldn\'t have picked a more awsome place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful on tips of where to eat, what to see and how to get around. The breakfast (eggs w/cheese or without, toast and coffee or tea is also wonderful. Coffee is the best Ive ever had! I will definitly make Hotel My Home my place to stay in the Dam!! Thanx guys (and girls) for making our trip so pleasant!!!

Comments: We found the staff to be very rude, but otherwise it was fine. Nice to have a hot breakfast in the morning, I just wish they weren't so rude serving it. Very good location, right in the middle of things and close to the train station.

| Comments: The 3-bed room we had was poor. It's small and somewhat messy. The bathroom was also very small.
On the positive side, the owners are very nice and helpful and breakfast was excellent. They serve very good scrambled eggs and coffee. |

Comments: My traveling companions and I enjoyed this hostel the most of the three we visited over spring break. The place has a very chill atmosphere--we arrived and were immediately asked to sit down for coffee, which was a nice surprise compared to the overly-anal hostel staff at some places. Also, they upgraded us to a private room for both nights, and I recommend the three-person "Anne Frank" suite to you as a nice choice. Everyone here was nice, although there is no lounge, so breakfast is the only really good socializing chance if you want that. Good location, clean, great staff--if I go back to Amsterdam, I'm going back here.

Comments: Pretty basic rooms but in a good location. In a residential area so good bars and restaurants. Easy walk to central train station and other areas. Reception is closed in the middle of the day. I know it is Amsterdam but people smoking joints when you are having your breakfast in winter when the windows are closed is not that pleasant! However good scrambled eggs.

Comments: Relatively convenient location. Property is kind of run-down but the sheets are clean, etc., and no security problems. There might be better options but this one's not bad.
