It was the best welcome we've ever had at a B&B and we would highly recommend Ashgrove to any of our friends wanting to visit the area. Upon arrival Shelia made us Irish coffees and suggestions on what to do on our trip, she even called and booked a tour to the Cliffs of Moher for us! Everything was extremely clean, we felt very safe and breakfast was great. I would recommend renting a car, but we didn\'t and still managed to kiss the Blarney stone, do the cliffs, go horseback riding, tour Bunratty Castle, and have a few drinks at Dirty Nellys. : )

I also enjoyed chatting with other tourists over breakfast. For security, Andy will give you keys to the house and your own room, so you can leave your luggage with reasonable confidence. Beware that the B&B is one mile from the Bunratty bus stop.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 3rd March 2008 Female 18-24 4/5 Comments: sheila is fantastic!!! going above and beyond in accomodating us and helping us find what to do in shannon. calling horseback riding stables, arranging taxis and helping us figure out the bus schedule, she was the reason we had such an amazing time in ireland. the breakfast is to die for, no joke. homemade bread and jams, scones, full irish breakfasts the works. ive never eaten so well! the irish coffee was great too :) the place was so charming, across the street from ponies just roaming. :) if you go here, go to durty nelly's, a great local pub. a couple of ok restaurants, but definitely head up to galway, the cliffs of moher, and even limerick. but this place is great, esp if u have a car, dont go anywhere else!!
