The rooms were a little cold and sometimes the hot water would run out, but the staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was youthful. All in all a good experience.

Staff use to be very kind. The only problem is the access to some rooms because there are to many stairs for climbing. Drinks are a little bit expensive in the vending machine. The hall´s walls need to be painted. They clean your room everyday, and that´s very important for me. And something else, the central heating works really good, no cold at all in any moment, that was quite wonderful.

It had clean sheets and clean bathroom. The area was ok, + or - close to a metro station of a very useful metro line. It was also really close to Sacre Coeur and the touristic areas of montmartre. You can use the kitchen from 1pm to 10 30 pm.The breakfast is good. Anyway we completely recommend the Montclair, it was a great stay!

I walked in, took one smell of the place and decided to stay at a different hostel. I could barely breathe as I canceled my room. Also, Trav messed up and told me I would be charge 3.50 instead of the 35 it really cost. Even less reason to stay there when there are cheaper prices that smell better.

Oh and there are no ladders for the bunks, or catches on the en suite bathroom doors in the dorms - great for the exhibitionists out there!

The staff was polite and the roomes good. On the negative side would be: - Thin walls, you could hear bathroom trips and stair goers and some sex happening. - Cold showers, it got a little better after letting the water run, on the 4th floor there were new, good showers. On the first and second floor they where bad, like press and get 10sec. of water and no removable head. So bring your earplugs if you stay here ;)

Although, the bedrooms were quite poor, you pay a lot and you don´t feel very comfortable in the bedroom after a long day walking. The good thing was the breakfast, but the kitchen was not very clean. The reception and the hall with the tv and computers was very good, but the internet conection was very very expensive!!!it should be for free, in almot all the hostels is for free.

Staff were very friendly and multilingual. It's very close to the metro and they're are is shops, cafes and restaurants all nearby which was brilliant. Only negitives, i can think of was, the room(double ensuite) was pretty basic and the hot water was touch and go. Other than that. Pretty good hostel.
