Friedi´s B&B offers a choice of T W O delightful A P A R T M E N T S (on different places!), both in great locations for exploring old and new Berlin easily with the excellent public transport system nearby.
A short journey from both of our private accommodations you can find: Alexanderplatz, the Berlin Wall - East Side Gallery, House of Checkpoint Charlie (Wall museum), Hackesche Höfe, Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, the Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe, the government quarter, the embassy quarter, Humboldt University, Museum Island (Pergamon Museum, Ischtargate, Bode Museum, New National Gallery, Old National Gallery, Old Museum), Berlin Cathedral, Gendarmenmarkt, French Cathedral, Potsdamer Platz etc.

This is a self-contained apartment (total 36 m²) comprising of one room with twin beds, Electric chimney, table, two armchairs, wardrobe and TV. There is a kitchen with dining corner, oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, crockery, utensils, glassware, toaster etc. and a private bathroom (photos 1-5). Berlin have very good public transportations, then you need 17 minutes (direct line) to the station Friedrichstrasse, Brandenburg Gate/Unter den Linden (Reichstag, Hotel Adlon), the next station is Potsdamer Platz - 20 minutes.
Close to this apartment is a choice of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, supermarket (Kaiser´s), bakery, butcher, greengrocers, fruit merchants, and other little stores. You find the park Schönholzer Heide with 35 hectare area, is 200 meters from the apartment.

Here a very nice guest room is available with a comfortable double bed, desk, wardrobe, TV and balcony, guests share the bathroom with the owner (photos 6-7)
Although breakfast is not served, you can prepare your own breakfast in the kitchen/diner and the resident owner can offer a wealth of helpful information. In the same building is a bakery, butcher and a supermarket (Lidl). Nearby is a choice of many restaurants offering various cuisines, supermarket (Reichelt), further bakeries, greengroceries, fruit merchants, and other little stores. 5 minutes away by public transport is the large shopping area and places of interest at Alexanderplatz with television tower, World Time Clock, Red Town Hall, Neptune Fountain and Nikolaiviertel with St. Nicholas´s, the oldest parish church in Berlin etc.
Park Friedrichshain is within 200m from the apartment with 49 hectare area where one of the main attractions, at the western entrance, is the large 'Märchenbrunnen', designed in 1913, showing characters from the Brothers Grimm.
