It didn't look bad on their web site, but upon arrival I was very disappointed with the condion and cleanliness. In addition, check-in was at 12 noon, and I arrived at 11:30 am. They said the room was not vacant yet, but should be in about 15 minutes, I waited more than an hour and it still had not been vacated. At that point I canceled my reservation and found lodging elsewhere.

But for what I was looking for, it was perfect. Nice location, simple but has everything one could need. Met great people, exactly why I chose to stay there. Would recommend it to anyone travelling through or needing to stay somewhere cheap for a longer time.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 1st June 2008 Male 18-24 4/5 Comments: an amazing stay! world scholar house is more like a homestay experience than a hostel. the staff is very friendly, helpful and enjoyable to talk to. the MRT is a 3-4 minute, straightforward walk. and despite what lonely planet says about the hostel, this place is NOT rowdy at all. in fact it was quite the opposite, and for my 3 nights stay there, it was a pretty peaceful place. all in all, world scholar house is awesome! -Wayne
