I walked right past it twice, however once I found it the staff was very pleasant and informative. The room had a slight odor that I could not place other than that the room seemed clean.

Located 10 minutes walk from Ueno station so a good base for seeing this area but also for getting around Tokyo.

Not too social but I didn't really reach out. Internet is slow on 2 of 3 computers, and there's no wireless so I would suggest that Oak Hotel consider adding it. Friendly staff and there are reading materials, tourism suggestions, and a great coffee/hot chocolate machine. But I did walk past it about 3 times during my short stay, so just be careful when looking for it or returning at night.

It was average sized for a Japan hotel room (ie quite small), but better than I expected after my previous stay in Tokyo. I found the place fairly easily especially considering that I arrived at night, but you do have to look for the sign in the street.
