| Comments: This is not a bad place to stay at all. If you want a very simple place to stay it is good. There is a large Metro station nearby, with buses down the street. The room I was in was very simple and nice, it had a fridge and television. It was annoying that I had to pay for the room in Cash once I had gotten there. The overall location of the building in relation to the major areas of Toronto is very poor. |

| Comments: the good thing about this place is the price: most people stay there for a week or more. It's mainly older people, so definitely there isn't a youth hostel feeling. My main issue was with the cleanliness of the place: the bathrooms are nasty, the bedrooms seem like they aren't cleaned in between each stay, and there's a weird smell in the house... but if you're relocating to TO and are tight on money, it's located walking distance to Kennedy station and it's much cheaper than a hotel. |

| Comments: This Guesthouse was a really great place to stay. I would definetely stay there again if ever visiting Toronto again. We didn't have any problem in getting in to the house, even though we arrived as late as 6am: The owner had kindly left the keys in the mailbox. But to be sure, you better call them and tell what time you are arriving. The house is located in a nice family neighbourhood. To the Kennedy subway station there is about 1km walk. They offered better facilities then many other hostels do: we had our own room with a private fridge, TV and small luggage/clothes room. The public kitchen had all what was needed: dishes, pots, microwave, coffee, dish washer. There is also laundry facilities. |

| Comments: The same thing that happened to the other user last week, happened to me and my friend on Saturday night.
First of all, it was a family house, not a hostel as we would expect from booking at trav.com.
We arrived and they didn't have room for us. They allegued it was because it was late at night, but when reserving we specified the arrival time and we also sent an email to remind them of that.
They had given out the room to someone else, so they called the owner who showed up 20 minutes later and took us to some other house.
We didn't feel comfortable with the given situation, and we decided to leave.
We ended up looking for a place to sleep in the middle of the night, which is completely unacceptable and shouldn't be permitted, considering we booked highly in advance.
I should also point out that the place is really far from the downtown area, around 20 minutes in the highway if you have a car.
The only relately positive thing is that the owner considered our situation and told us we were not going to be charged for the 3 nights we booked. |

| Comments: As we arrived at the house we couldn't move into our room, because there was nobody at the house. Later, we were told that there was no room for us left, although we booked in advance. The owner of the house wanted to relocate us at one of his friends houses. That made us feel that unconfortable we did not want stay any further and left. The 25$ I payed in advance were lost. Ridiculous! Anyways, the spot is not as close to Downtown as it seems on the map and the neighborhood isn't nice. With hindsight, I would rather pay 10$ more a night and stay in the city center. |

| Comments: The owner and the staff are really polite, they do their best to keep clean and comfortable the place, but some of the guests don't ( not all of them, of course). |

| Comments: This is NOT a hostel its a house in the middle of nowhere, an hours train ride from toronto town itself then a 15 minute walk and not in a n area you\'d want to walk, we stayed one night as had nowhere to go and wished we hadn\'t as the sheets were filthy and we woke up covered in flea bites!! |

| Comments: I was initially unaware that this was a guest-run house and so was unprepared for the lack of presence the owners had in the house (by this I mean that meeting the owners at a set time to retrieve keys, etc. is crucial). Overall, I enjoyed my stay and found the environment of the house to be comfortable and well-suited to my needs. |

| Comments: I had a wonderful time. There was a lot of privacy, and I really appreciated the common cupboards with free breakfast foods. The owner(s) were very nice, and I enjoyed the free parking! I plan on staying here again. |

| Comments: A lovely clean place to stay, friendly staff, good facilities and great value for money. Not the best location as it's pretty far out from the centre but there's a supermarket very close by and the metro is just ten minutes waqlk away. One word of warning - don't get a taxi from the airport as it's really expensive - we paid 67 dollars! Eek! |

| Comments: I and my partner stayed on this hostel for four days (26-30 aug,2006). Although it is little bit far from downtown, there is a metro nearby (about 8 mins walk). And I am glad that toronto zoo is very close. In addition, it is clean (out of our expectation) The price of accomodation is low and worth to stay!!! i will highly recommed this hostel !! |

| Comments: Very nice place. Typical canadian house shared among different guests. Common kitchen, fridge , washroom, bathroom, laundry, wireless internet ...
Adviced for open minded peoples that likes to meet others cultures (we were with Candians, idians, germans, french, bresilians, dominicans, spanish, ...).
A bit far from the city center (1 hour by metro) and close to the "not so safe" scarborough suburb. Special mention for the owners who have been so nice and helpful. |

| Comments: This is about a 30-35 minute metro ride from downtown, so it's not for everyone, but if you are looking for a private room at a hostel dorm price, this is a great place. The owner is very nice and helpful, and the other guests were quite friendly when I was there. I recommend it. |
