Comments: Pretty clean for an old building. internet service isn't great, but the kitchen is nice and big. good location too, short walk to the harbour, salamanca place, battery point etc. would stay there again.

Comments: We only booked a night in this hostel but were going to stay for 4. When I walked in the room (8 share) the stench just hit me and I had to breath through my nose. We ended up having to pay for a private. At least this was cleaner. If this is Hobarts newest hostel, I wouldn't like to see the older ones. We opted for the YHA which was more expensive but well worth it!

Comments: almost impossible to lock room door. poor kitchen ventilation means whole hostel constantly smells of cooking grease. top sheet and duvet smelled like they hadn't been washed. shower water temp went from scalding to freezing for no reason.

Comments: I paid $90 per night (reduced to $80 after complaint) for a private room which had no AC, no TV, no tea-making. Bed on rollers crashes d intosandblasted wall and showers of debris resulted. Couldn't sleep because of drinking session outside my door.

Comments: Somehow managed to squeeze 8 beds into a tiny room, where only 3 people could stand at a time -disgraceful. Only one bunk had a ladder that you could use - not impressed.

Comments: Ring beforehand to confirm your room so you don't get landed in the wrong place for the wrong price. Our room (double bed with bathroom) by some error was double booked and we weren't exactly thrilled to find we were going to be charged basically the same price anyway. They still provided us with a room and we're quite accomodating but regardless it was dissapointing and we probably won't be back. Hobart however was awesome! Hooray! :)

Comments: The dorms were riduclously cramped. It was their busiest time of year but still no excuse. Internet in hostel is a prehistoric joke :(
