| Comments: This is by far the best hostel I have ever had. Great friendly and helpful staff, very clean areas that are cleaned daily, very large hostel that houses many people yet still manages to provide a high level of service to each individual. When I do return to Melbourne, I know where I will be staying. |

| Comments: Without a doubt the best hostel i've stayed in, in all of austrlia! huge rooms, huge security lockers, great view of the city, perfect location for city center and st.kilda. tram stop right in front of hostel. McDonalds & BP right next door. good hostel for both those who want to party w/ bar downstairs & within walking distance but also quite upstairs for those who get up early. i'll stay here again! |

| Comments: Top marks here (first time ever)! Hostel owners should really take a look at this place to see how to run a hostel. It\'s a big hostel but it really works: crisp-clean sheets and towels, airy rooms (four beds max), a fantastic brekkie. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. It\'s also a great place to meet fellow travellers (balcony, smoking area and a large bar) and they do a crackin\' meal deal at about 6:30. Highly recommended! |

| Comments: urban was very clean and had everything you needed. because of the size it lacked a certain character which i prefer and usually find in smaller hostels. they also moved my friends bag out of his room becauase he didnt put it on his bed when they cleaned the room which i thought was not great! but overall i had a fine stay for what i was expecting. |

| Comments: It has no wireless Internet access!! You can only surf the web using the computers provided, and some of them don't even work!! Yet they charge you $4 an hour, $7 for two hours like this, which is even more expensive than the hostel I stayed in Sydney(which has wireless access)!! |

| Comments: my 2nd stay here in a Month, and once again, i was impressed.
the staff remembered me, especially Janaya @ the Travel Desk... full props to her for EVERYTHING. Nigel is HILARIOUS as well.. make sure you have a chat with him.. overall the staff is fantastic and i would mention more names if they wore name badges so i could remember!! haha. Great location, 3 min walk to Crowne Casino) -- watch the fire shows nightly from 6pm on the hour on the Yarra River in front of the Crowne Towers-- st. kilda is overrated. good food tho. worth a VISIT.. not a stay. the city is FAR better.. and there\'s a backpacker bar attached.. as well as EVE, below the hostel, VERY popular with the local Melbournians... EUREKA SKYDECK is worth the money, as well they will reimburse you for your transport cost when ARRIVING at the hostel (shuttles only i think)... anyways... you gotta stay here.. only max of 4 per room.. and it doesnt really matter if you have an ensuite or not.. the bathrooms are ALWAYS CLEAN... and heaps of showers.. each floor has a different theme, tv lounge etc. great pizza nights (tues and thurs.. check their details) staff always has recommendations on what to do... festivals to see..... WAIT and book your GREAT OCEAN ROAD TOUR with the tour desk here... you get a 5 dollar discount in your arrival pack, plus 10 bucks off the price for booking at the hostel,.. so its about 90 instead of 105.... you\'ll LOVE it. Urban Central is PERFECT. will be coming back on my next trip to Melbourne for sure!! |

| Comments: I loved this hostel one of the best places i stayed. There is no more than 4 beds in a dorm. The rooms are big as well so there is lots of room for everyone and all their things. Plus each bed has a giant locker assigned to it that you can fit a massive suitcase in AND there are power points INSIDE your locker so you can charge your IPOD/Camera/Phone while its locked safely away. Id definatly recommend this place. |

| Comments: This place reminds me of a frat house on a very large scale. Walking distance to town and the staff is helpful. They have internet but some of the machines are frustratingly buggered up. Beds are pretty comfy and they is a modicum of privacy. They try to have something for everybody. Now that I understand the system I will go back. |

| Comments: Fantastically clean it\'s almost sterile. The staff are very helpful and there\'s a dedicated help desk! Free towels and a handy power plug inside the lockers.
Only problem, my room was next to the TV common room and some people were inconsiderate playing it loud well late into the night!
Highly recommended. |

| Comments: An excellent hostel with almost everything you'd expect. Spaces on different floors for quiet work or study or for smaller groups to mingle and watch tv. Much needed in a large hostel like this.
Only suggestions are 1. Get the wireless interent going making sure there's a signal on floor 4.
2. Keep an eye on the internet PCs. Some seem to be infected with dodgy software.
3. Organise a few group activities such as go-karting.
Then it would be 100% |
