| Comments: This is a friendly hostel in a good location. It is not really a 'Hotel' but the affordable price reflects this. The airconditioned rooms are good, very spacious and our attached bathroom was clean and relativley new. Staff are friendly and helpful and have day tour/car hire to major sights around Cairo. Free internet is fast and the included breakfast (bread, butter, jam and Egyptian tea) is a great start to the day. |

| Comments: I had a wonderful time at the Hotel Vienna! The staff was very kind and Ramadan (the Hotel Manager) was WONDERFUL. I felt very safe and they took care of everything, which was very helpful as a single traveler. Whatever you need, JUST ASK and they will make it happen. The tours were reasonable, the room was huge, Cairo was terrific. Thank you for a lovely time. I highly recommend this place and will return. |

| Comments: Stayed 2x. Great service. If requested they can pick you up from the airport for a small tip. This makes life and introduction to Egypt very easy. When you land in Cairo, if they pick you up you'll be very thankful they did. The city is very overwhelming and public transport is confusing. |

This hotel located downtown in Cairo and very close to the egyptian museum and the metro will certainly be very welcoming. Not only will the staff give you a lot informations about Cairo, but also they organize trips in all Egypt. As for the rooms, no worry, it's alway clean.

| Comments: Good location. Quick trip from Ramses station by Metro to Sabbat station. Many ATMs, currency exchange, and things to do in very close vacinity. Great tours given by the driver Saied. He gave us a great tour around the Pyramids and showed us the back roads of Cairo where the real people live. |

| Comments: They are merely ok, but you can find better deals even in Cairo. During my 2 weeks stay in Egypt, this hotel is the most expensive one, yet has the smallest room and the worst breakfast. On the other hand, the location is great, and they have free airport pickup for 2+ nights stay. Avoid to book tours from them though. |

| Comments: I liked it so much, I stayed there twice. There is someone available 24 hours a day and it is located within blocks of the museum, multiple banks, various ATM's, an American Express office, directly across the street from Thomas Cook, loads of shopping - even McDonald's (if you're home-sick for greasy fast food). I adored the family-like atmosphere, was made to feel welcome and I would definetly return again. |

| Comments: this hostel sets you up with a ride from the airport (for free), individual tours (at good rates, according to friends that live in cairo), and a return trip to the airport (they rip you off on this one, so take a metered cab back). breakfast is included and is a pretty typical european breakfast. the staff are very friendly and courtious. the hostel isn't very big and the common room is hardly a place for meeting people, so make sure you go with a group or can meet people you know in cairo. |

| Comments: This place is doable. I wouldn't mind coming back here if I ever come to Cairo again. The staff proved to be quite helpful at telling us how to get around the city. When we traveled to the pyramids at Giza they even wrote down our destination in Arabic on a sheet of paper to hand to the cabdriver so as to avoid any confusion.
The cleanliness rating on this survey is actually a bit difficult for me. I wouldn't say the cleanliness is absolutely poor, but it does some to be slightly below average. Then again, when I approach hosteling I take the point of view that I pretty much just want a bed to crash in for the night. So maybe my tolerance is higher than some other travelers. Certainly, if you're expecting a place with all sorts of fancy amenities then this may not be the place for you--it's a hostel, not a hotel. Oh yeah, one more thing, don't expect hot showers here. The water in our room was cold. But I managed to deal with that just fine.
With that said, they do provide you with small breakfast--tee and bread rolls with jelly. Nothing much, but more than I had expected to receive. So the staff really does work to make your stay here as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. So they definitely get my appreciation in that aspect! |

| Comments: BUT... OK, I promised Ramadan that I would give him 100% if everything with my trip that he organized for me went well... And it did!! BUT... I do have a problem with being pushed to give a good rating, and that my previous 96% wasnt appreciated and even a little resented makes me a little annoyed... and yes he does try to sit over your shoulder to see what you have written!! Look, he's a great guy, but if he evr gets the chance to read this I hope he reads it realizing that he should believe in he's service, over forceful ratings!! Also, a big thing I should let you know about is he's deals... THEY ARE GOOD!! Everything you have ever been told about handing money over for a somewhat sketchy sounding adventure, with no "western" reciept, may sound like he could be not being truthful, or it all sonuds too good to be true... Well it isnt, and the plans really are organized and surprisingly excellent!! Please take my advice and go on the white sands desert adventure in the oasis, its incredible, also everything else went off well too, Luxor and Aswan had very nice hotels arranged and tours!! The only other thing, is take there advice if you dont have a student card and are under 26, because for 95LE which includes the photo you will save on so many of the attractions, generally 50%!! The other thing to know is that you will be going to all the attractions so keep that in mind when it comes to your budget... it certainly adds up!!
Ok, well definately give this place a chance, Im a single girl and they did look after me, so all in all it was a good place!
Hope Ive helped someone... Do the packages if ya have the time... I did have one of the cheapest out of all the guys i hung out with over Egypt, and dont be surprised if you see al the people you saw days earlier again and again... I loved Flucca trip too!

| Comments: Excellent place to stay, would definetly recommend it. As soon as i got here, Ramadan organised an excellent trip for the short time i had, around oasis, cairo and the surrounding area, and luxor and the trip was excellent and it was far easier than planning it myself. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and a bargin at the price. I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to egypt, either alone or with other people and on my next trip to egypt i shall definetly be staying here. |
