Got moved twice during our 4 night stay & so were a lot of people...You have to sit in the lobby for 3 hours until they've finished cleaning. Some warning would be nice. Staff were ok but Christian was the friendliest hostel worker we've seen for our entire trip round europe. Kitchen was a plus but people ate our food although our name was all over it. Still, very good stay and definatley would stay again.

The 24-hour reception is quite helpfull when you arrive late! We really enjoyed Kreuzberg, and this hostel is right next to Oranienstrasse which is filled with charming bars and döner-shops! It would be nice, however, if you could get a recipt when you lock something up in their security-locker. Not that we had any problems, but just in case of a mix-up it would have been difficult to prove that we had anythig there...

Shame that the kitchen has to close at 10pm and some of the toilets were not properly ventilated; that aside, it's the best place to stay in: close to everything and full of smiley ppl to help you with all those touristy queries! One guy at the reception, though, is totally irresponsible: I got stalked and almost got mugged downstairs by a thug and he just nodded his head when I told him the whole story and then went back to playing snooker. I was shaking throughout the whole day and couldn't even bring myself to call the police! They should definitely get rid of him and hire someone who actually cares about the welfare of the customers like his co-workers do.
