The hostel is located only one block from China town and close to the tram. I really enjoyed staying there and will definitely stay there again next time.

(Although I much preferred the single shower bathrooms to the larger shared ones, as they appeared much newer/cleaner). Not a party spot, but a nice central point for Melbourne city central.

The location is right near Parliament Station, and the city's tram stops are nearby, making travel easy. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, and the rooms were excellent, clean, large, and well equipped with fridge, fan, TV, wireless internet and comfy beds! The only real complaint I can think of is there not being very good water pressure in the shower and a lack of hot water, but I think it was just the one. Other people we knew who were staying there as well said other showers worked great. Overall a great hostel :D

But if u want to have fun with ur friend or have a party , u may need somewhere else. However, the budget is quite expensive if compare with low cost hotel or service apartment.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was too tired and slipped myself into the right side of the bed without checking the cleanliness of the entire bed under the quilt cover and next day, to my horror, when I lifted up the whole cover, there were dirt (I suspected from shoes) all over! The receptionist was quick at changing it but I recommend all to check the bed before paying. The small disposable shampoo pack given by the hotel was hard to tear up. No morning call because there is no phone in the room. I asked for a morning knock at the door from the receptionist at 730pm, she agreed but it didn't happen. Bring your own alarm clock and shampoo If you don't mind an average service budget hotel which is very close to the Parliment train station and city center.

Beds are comfortable, everything is clean, and at least one of the showers is really good. TV, fridge and free wireless in the bedrooms also very good. Not the place to stay if you want to party, but excellent if you need somewhere quiet.
