Comments: perfect location right in the middle of the most lively night life district (but the hotel itself quiet enough) and within walking distance of the centre

Comments: Hotel Elite's location was great! It was footsteps away from bars, restaurants, grocery stores and their university. The area was safe and the people in and out of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Staff at Hotel Elite were fantastic! Maps and directions on how to get around Cologne were provided to us by the hotel, and offered 24 hour service. The Dom is about a 45 min walk from the Hotel, but there are wonderful shops and restaurants to see on your walk.

Comments: Great location by the student section of town with tons of fun bars around, but the hotel is nice and quiet at nite, so a perfect fit i think. Its very clean with good showers and beds, seems like a 3 star hotel inside and after 25 days in europe, definitely one of the best hotels. Also, 5 or 6 different subway lines within walking distance, including 16,18 which go to main station.

Comments: Found the staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is away from the city centre but is close to public transport as well as bars and restaurants. The only drawback is that it is near a train line and the sound of trains going past during the night may disturb light sleepers

Comments: I would not recommend this hotel for ladies travelling by themselves. It's not really close to the sights and the area feels a bit dodgy. There were no other women staying there while I was there.

Comments: Great location for good value restaurants, bars and clubs. It is in the uni area of the town so is surrounded by things to do. Staff are very nice and breakfast is basically all you can eat and varied. Rooms include a tv and a hair dryer which are very useful! It\'s a little way out from the centre, but walkable distance and worth it for the amenities in the area.

Comments: Great location for restaurants and bars, located very close to Koeln Sued train station- after passing under bridge to the north of station, it is located on the diagonal street to the left. Near university district, so many bars, but still a peaceful and nice area. The day staff especially was very friendly and breakfast was good and complete.

Comments: Thanks a lot to the staff at this hotel for making us feel really wlecome! The hotel is a train ride or 20 minute walk away from the main attractions - but in a lively student area with lots of bars!

Comments: ever heard of being yelled at when you are at the front desk or ridiculed and asked if you think the receptionist is a meterologist because you asked if it was going to rain the next day. how about the yelling part because you need to leave your room key at the front desk every time you leave so they know when you are out . . . how's that for security. And, what about when you are upset how you have just been treated and you're driven to the point of openly commenting that you will never stay there again . . . and your answer is, "we get plenty of clients - its your choice that you don't want to stay, we have other people!". Also, when I came back once and did not "retrieve" my key for entry to the hotel, I was chased up the stairs by a smoking, wide-eyed bum looking guy sent by the receptionist who demanded to see my key (in German) which scared the hell out of me... I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE AT ALL!
