Right next door is an old church where they have opera and piano performance for cheap. I stayed in a 22-person mixed room and encountered some strange guy who kept asking to see my feet.

Other than that its very clean, well located (all main sites within walking distance) and there\'s free WiFi and guest kitchen. They also vending vending machines if you dont like to cook.

"kitchen" had 2 hotplates 3 bowls 2 cups & 1 sharp knife. no key for the rooms so they can't be locked. if you're not back by 2am they lock the hostel anyway. theres a cleaning lockout b/w 10am-2pm. as a result a great sum of money was STOLEN from our lockers - no sign of forced entry, lock wasn't broken. with no one but cleaners having access to the rooms for 4hrs a day, we have our reasonable suspicions. don't stay here. STAY AT PLUS FLORENCE.

Security is a bit dodgy, as in there are no keys and the people at reception change, so how do they know who goes in?? The room we stayed in was VERY noisy, so definitely bring earplugs. Not very sociable, but overall fine, and free internet is a nice touch.

The bedrooms are closed to be cleaned daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - I heard as usual for hostels in florence. Five (!) meters from the hostel is a good sorted supermarket with some special offers for travellers like earplugs. All in one a very good hostel!

Rooms were very hot as no air-con. Linen was provided but not towels. Security lockers were provided for the rooms but you need your own padlock. Just a few minutes walk to the centre, past a few good ice-cream shops. Shop/supermarket right next door.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Romania 30th July 2008 Male 25-30 3/5 Comments: Watch out for schedule: 2-6 is closed.Same for 10-14!There's a "You're in the army now" radio waking you up at 9.30 not to lock you up in the room at noon.Come-on,you come to Firenze to stay in all day?Otherwise,looks like the army,but you don't need more.Excellent price for such location.Nice staff.Can charge cell phone/digicam for free at reception.At next door building they got classical concerts.Small fridge but you can sneak your food in - at other next door they got a food store.

Good kitchen, hobs and microwave and frigde. free internet which was good. worst part is the curfe which is 2am and they kick you out of the rooms at 10 till 2.

The rooms were a little warm, but not bad with the windows open. The only concern was that they do not lock the individual rooms, but since there is only one entrance to the hostel and someone is always at the front desk, I wasn't that concerned about my safety, but if you like to be locked up at night, this one probably isn't for you. Nice and cheap...good for a weekend trip to Firenze!
