Txepo and the team are amazing people and run a fantastic little bed and breakfast. His dive trips are very personal and well run also avoiding the rest of the cattle herds. I wish I had more time there!!

This is more like staying at a friends place than a hostel or hotel. Quite a few blocks back from town, but cheap $2 taxis get you back and forth.. Sustainable and ecofriendly with dive options available..A pleasant change from the run of the mill hostels

His house is in a peaceful area, just 15 min walk from the city center. Texpo organizezd nearly everything, from the rental of a car to diving sessions. And all his suggestions were very useful. We've had a lovely stay there at Villa Anna Maria. A great choice!

The owner of the hostel was like the 3 dogs that lived with him there -very friendly & always pleased to see you! He can organise diving trips & I highly recommend his (PADI qualified) friend (Jordan) who is the best instructor I've ever had.(Very friendly, enthusiastic & helpful)

The owner is always concerned about your fun and how are you enjoying the Island. In the first day they told me how everything works and helped me to plan my activities. They have maps and lot´s of ideas about what to do during your stay. They can rent you a scooter for the best price you can get and delivery it for you at the Hostel. The place is so safe that they even put lockers on the doors. I left my things there and didn´t have any problem. The room was clean and very well decorated. They want you to feel at home. The breakfast is not included, but they can make it for you, if you pay for it. (It was huge, but also out of my budget in the end of the trip). The only problem is cats and dogs doing too much noise at night, and many people doing too much noise in the morning. It´s kind of difficult to sleep. And if you don´t want to rent a scooter or other motorized vehicle don´t go to Cozumel. Everything is to far.

No locks on room doors or other place to lock away valuables. Also, a bit of a long walk from town center to hostel, did not feel safe doing it after dark. Cab only about 3 dollars though.

You become part of the Villa Ana Maria family. I met many great people during my very relaxed stay there. Things to do: 1.day rent a scooter and explore the whole island (bring your snorkling gear if you can) Visit Punta Sur Nature Resort! 2. day: Go diving/snorkeling with the divers on the boat. 3. day just relax and explore the surroundings. See how people really live on Cozumel.
