Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Germany 21st November 2008 Male 25-30 4/5 Comments: Living in the hostel is a bit like flat sharing which grants a friendly and familiar atmosphere. 4 beautiful bedrooms are provided, breakfast kitchen is well equipped. Bathrooms are fully renovated and clean. Staff is friendly and english speaking. And if you want English Breakfast you just have to ask for it. Main shopping street is just around the corner, pubs and bars are in the neighbourhood. In summary it´s a cosy place located at a perfect spot.

It is a very small hostel where you can't meed a lot of people, so if that is what you want to do, you should probably look for another place to stay.

No milk, though, but you will hardly find free milk in a Bulgarian hostel -too expensive. Private rooms are fine, can't tell about dorms.

Hostel located centrally and staff helpful in advising best areas to visit. Only problem was common area always had the owner watching the tv so couldnt really relax in the area, but apart from that, nice hostel

This could have been more accurate than when we rocked up to Orient Express after booking 2 months before we got there. The manager apparently 'double booked', and there didn't looked like any evidence they knew how to process bookings made through trav. They were however decent enough to ring around and arrange accommodation at a nearby hostel (Internet Hostel), which turned out to be a more impressive and friendly place anyway!

We booked with Orient Express Hostel but got a room in Internet Hostel and didn't even get an explanation for it. The heating didn't work properly, in the bathroom there was no heating at all and the water was cold. The staff wasn't helpful at all and just wanted us to pay as soon as possible. When we complained about the heating they got really unfriendly. They only understand as much English as they want. If you have a problem they suddenly only speak Bulgarian.
