We went to this place and they said that we don't have place there because they had turned this place from a hostel into a hotel . so they will send us to a hotel that is not far away from there. Ok, we agreed upon that, because the place was also very dark and the smell of the cigarettes also was very unpleasant. But then she told us to go to this hostel and pay 3 euros for each more. We agreed upon that as well, so instead of 102.08 for six people we had to pay 120 Euros. Then I asked how about the downpayment of 10 percent that I had payed. She said that she knows nothing about it and she doesn't care. I think a person with an attitude like this cannot work with people. Because previously we stayed at a hostel in London and they also had some problems therefore they sent us to a hotel accompanying us and also payed the difference- in my opinion that is only normal.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 7th November 2008 Female 18-24 2/5 Comments: if i had been staying here longer than a night i wouldve been angry: pull out bed, cold shower, hard to find had to take a bus everywhere, it was inbetween the duomo and the station that was about the only thing that was nice but it was still pretty far away from everything. definitely not next to the metro and when traveling thats the easiest route to figure out.

They were helpful with answering all our questions, and they really care about the quality of their hostel. There were not lockers there for our bags like the website says, but they didnt charge us to keep them in the hostel. I felt really safe and comfortable there. I would recommend staying there if traveling to Milan.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Slovakia 25th October 2008 Couple 18-24 4/5 Comments: The Hotel Medusa is nice place to stay with lovely atmosphere.We were very content with everything&had a pleasent stay out there.The room was pretty,well equiped&always clean&tidy.The stuff was perfect,always very helpfull,nice&funny.The hotel was just a few minutes away from the centre,so everything what we could need was in our surrounding.we would definetely go there again.If you want to have fun,enjoy the trip in Milan, sleep well, not to pay much go to hotel Medusa.

You are not allowed to lock your room door if you are in the shared dorm. They overbook A LOT and move people to the Fashion Hostel in the same complex at 11PM (even if you already have a room at their hostel). They have a very rough manner with the customers. We would not stay here again.

I would look out in the surrounding cities, (e.g. Bergamo) and pay a little less and just take the train in for about 5 Euro. Place is hard to find at night and directions suck.

Walk up 6 flights of stairs in a dark stairwell before you reach "reception" which feels like you're entering a rent by the hour room. The bed broke in the middle of the night. DON'T GO THERE!!!

Staff were nice..suggested a place to go for dinner which turned out to be good, called me a taxi in the morning...really the only nice things I have to say. Stay somewhere else unless you are faced with the same problem. It was only about 7 euros for a taxi from the train station. Filthy bathroom...no toilet seat...the bed was comfortable.

I advised my arrival was 8 am and the guy of front desk was sleeping and did not bothered in give me attention. There was no room prepared for me. Besides that, the guy tried to put me in another room with no clean beds and another old semi naked men. I ask my money back and left. Another thing, they do not speak english. I do not recomend at all.
