Sunday night was a breeze though...probably because all the party animals were too interested in watching the Aust v NZ football. Lucky for us! But, definitely would stay again! Whole complex (pub, BP, motel) has a great buzz.

It's possibly even against the law to be running the hostel with such a noise level. It's more of a dingy motel than a hostel anyway. Do not stay here. We moved to Bohemian Central and that was lovely.

I was expecting a friendly enviroment but communial areas were small and the atmosphere closed. hard to meet people when travelling alone. doors open to hostel people could walk in off the street and out only a sign to prevent people from doing so and some current room mates maybe to trusting in leaving the door to the dorm also wide open.

We had to argue a long time to get the website promised 10% off of trips booked there. We had to go to the front desk twice to finally get new towels. The internet pcs there are a mess and do not really work. It is extremely loud in all rooms due to the techno disco out front. When asked to call a taxi for us the guy did not do it and we almost missed the plane. Unfriendly staff, too noisey - I would not go there again!

The staff are mega friendly and can\'t do enough to help you. Free internt is good, a thoughtful touch and the free breakfast helps those on a budget(If you\'re up in time for it) The bar downstairs is a good laugh with discounts for people staying there (jug of beer $7! bargin!) The music is played loud untill about 2am thursday, friday, saturday and sunday. The kitchen is huge for cooking. The hostel has lots of sociable places, you can walk into the kitchen, T.V room or balcony and find people to talk to. Toliets and showers kept v.clean (thumbs up to the cleaners!) Everyone there is so friendly and you\'re bound to make friends!

There needs to be more than just one blunt knife supplied in the kitchen. Thumbs up for the free breakfasts. Avoid the room without a window.

Room was cleaned well by staff, but we did encounter a killer cockraoch on our last night. Not entirely the hostel's fault but certainly not all too comfy either. Staff was friendly and helpful which was really nice. Would stay again.

If that wasnt early enough the vaccum cleaner at 7 in the morning or the openening of the bedroom door to see if it was empty was another good alarm clock. ensure you always wear thongs while in the shared areas as people having sex in the disabled toilets was a frequent event. who knows what happened in the other areas. great food and drink offers so take them and great location The manager helped us out with spare blankets but the lady on the desk seemed a litlle arrogant/pissed off at the world so be careful. overall the location makes this a geat place

The first two nights there was a some very loud people who used to arrive in a 5am screaming and shouting and they woke everybody up. However after a second night of these antics they were kicked out and the nights were peaceful. The music from the bar is fairly loud so don't expect complete silence every night. Also the air conditioning is only on between 4pm and 7am so if you intend to be in your room during the day you will be really hot. In general though it was quite a good hostel and we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in a motel room which overlooked the beer garden. The place was very clean although the rooms were old. Nice atmosphere, and all the amenities you'd want, except no nighttable or lamp, there is a TV but no remote. But we are supposed to be roughing it. The place was hopping on the weekend, but the noise level dropped down at about 10:30 pm. Great meal and beer deals with your room. I would definitely stay there again.
