Comments: This place is too far away from Palermo and is no way near Palermo and difficult to find. Some taxi drivers do not know where Capo Gallo is. Cost too much in taxi fares to get there and you need to hike up the hill with your heavy bags. You need to take 2 buses to get there and takes about one hour

Comments: Terrible directions and they wanted me to take a taxi that costs 31 Euros to get there. Ridiculous!

Comments: The directions to this location were so poor I could not find it at all the first night. The second day, two locals tried to follow the written directions and finally gave up. I only got there by finding the street and inquiring once I got very close. Otherwise, I had a good experience.

Comments: That was the worst hostel I stayed in during my trip. It s really far from the city, and you have to climb a big hill to get there. There no indication about the hostel. So basically, I ve decided to move in the city.

| Comments: The hostel is really nice. Actually it is not a hostel, it is a bed and Breakfast. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Great swimming pool.
I didn't have a car and that is a draw, since it is located on a pretty steep hill. It is not near the center of Palermo at all but pretty close to the beach. If you do not have a car call them in advance and they will pick you up from the train station. I made the mistake of trying to call from the train station. First there are no phones around, second when we finally found a phone, we got a busy signal for an hour (it was getting dark...). I recommend that you should do your homework and get maps and bus schedules in advance since there are none at the hostel or anywhere around.
You get breakfast for 4 Euros. here is a fridge in the rooms, but no store close by. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill that delivers food to the "hostel". Good price, but ask in advance, it tends to VARY. |

Comments: I don't recommend this hostel to anyone. Everyone is correct about the drive; it is absolutely horrible and even with a rental car you are worried about the car breaking down each time you enter a pothole or perhaps hitting a cow in the middle of the goat path you are expected to drive on. The directions given are horrible. The website said there was internet and this turned out to be false. The swimming pool was dirty and the lady was not very nice. We were planning to stay three nights, but decided to leave after the first. Pick a different place.

Comments: We could not find the hotel. The tourist info desk had a map and the street was nowhere on it. Nobody knew where it was and when I called the hotel itself I could not understand the man's instructions. There was something about having to take 2 busses and ending at the coca cola factory where he would pick us up. So we didn't go there. Way too much trouble for us and all our bags.

Comments: The location was on top of a mountain. The view was beautiful. The hike up it from town not so beautiful. However worth it. The staff was a bit cold at first. She warmed up after our 2nd day, but not very welcoming helpful but she seemed agrivated. The owner of the property however was wonderful. Made us feel at home. The shower was grubby and the rooms were filled with different decorations. We had jesus on a cross above our bed. Frosty the snow man candle on our desk. And clown lamps. What is all that about. ??The keys needed a book of instructions. but all in all. I had a great stay.

Comments: DON'T STAY HERE!! The hostel is up on a hill far away from town and there is no daily shuttle available so you have to walk up and down the rocky hill with no lights. Plus, the people weren't very nice.

Comments: This hostel is on the outskirts of the city, but if you know how to get there and can master the bus system it's an awesome value for your money. I paid the same price I would have paid in a normal hostel, but had a view of the sea from our own private terrace. Take bus 101 from the central station to Stadio Mondello, get off there and catch bus 628 to Tomaso Natale. From there, you can call the hostel and they will come and get you in a car to take you up the mountain for about 5 euro per carload. You can also take the metro to Tomaso Natale, but the metro only runs about every 2 hours. I really suggest staying here, just make sure you understand how to use the buses so that the fact that it's on the outskirts of town doesn't make its location a drawback.

Comments: Way out in the middle of nowhere. Expect a 60 minute commute to get to town. Great view though. Spend the extra 10 euro for a hotel.

Comments: The hostel is in a beautiful location, however it is very difficult to find. The road to get to it is in very poor condition. It needs a lot of work. The walkways are in ill repair, not well lit, in some spots dangerous.

Comments: good stay in the tiny but completely furnished bungalow, great view, so bad that the road leading to the BB is really damaged.
