The metal bunks very squeaky, the metal lockers, same, and our door very squeaky as well. Apart from that, I was there over Christmas, there was nothing really planned going on there which is a shame, seemed like any other day. Apart from that, no probs.

Too many hairs on the washroom floor to have been thorougly cleaned. When they made the bed, they left the big window wide open - still relatively safe, though it can be easily accessed via fire escape. There were two different schools of children staying at the hostel, so it was pretty noisy. I had to check out a day early and there were no issues with that so it was great.

The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is welcoming. It's also pretty close to the center of the town, so I would strongly recommend it.

It was my third stay in this hostel and I am still happy with it. For example, it is nice that our 8-bed dorm was actually divided into two 4-bed rooms and that there was an en-suite bathroom. The staff members were also nice people. My only complaint would be that the dorms become pretty packed when all the beds are occupied, since there is not very much floor space between the beds. However, I definitely will stay in Meininger again!

At first, it took little time for us to find the hostel but actually it takes less than 10 mins to station. a great place with many good restaurants close by!!

There is a smoking bar in the hostel, which sells cheap drinks and has a good atmosphere. The staff were all very laid-back and friendly. The room was reasonably clean but the bathroom was a little grubby. Overall - decent!

Very clean and secure, but you can count on plenty of children's tour groups and families. If you're looking to meet people and have fun, don't stay here. If you just want a clean bed and don't mind noisy kids, then it's cheap. It's a bit of a hike from the hbf but you pass through the shopping district to get there. Breakfast had yogurt, meat, and cheese, in addition to the usuals.
