The staff was helpful and there is a neat little terrace area with a kitchen and some chairs. If you are going to dive in Cozumel, as I was, it is a good, quiet place to stay!

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 13th August 2008 Female 18-24 3/5 Comments: This hostel is really close to the centre of the town, which is handy, though you would probably have to get a taxi to a beach. 26 people in a room is a lot, though there are 4 toilets and 4 showers in the one bathroom and i never had to queue up. I had a bed with its own fan, but even then i was quite hot in the night. The kitchen area is very nice.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Brazil 12th July 2008 Female 18-24 3/5 Comments: when i got there, the private room i have booked two months earlier had its bathroom broken and there wasn't any other private room i could stay in. i had to sleep in the 26-bed dorm for a night until my room's toilet got all fixed up. the hanging out area (a little dirty outdoor kitchen) is not that much fun. other than that, it was a good place to stay, very good location.

I would defanitly stay again. really nice staff and great people.

It wasn't too loud or noisy, but there were gathering areas for socializing. The staff was pleasant and helpful. All in all, a decent place to stay.

The kitchen was accessible from the street by walking up stairs so there are potential problems. The dorm with 26 beds did not seem as bad as it sounded as there were several showers and toilets separated by sex. The dorm was never full. The location was excellent, two blocks from the ferry close to many dive shops.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 2nd January 2008 Couple 25-30 3/5 Comments: It is really convienently located with nice staff, but the atmosphere was definately lacking. During our stay there were two "locals" staying at the hostel while they worked as tour guides. Unfortunately this meant that you were constantly hassled about your plans ("want to rent a scooter?"). They were also drunk all day, and on the verge of fighting one another with knives (no joke). The drunkenness also contributed to loud blasting television all night long in the dorm room & lights being left on all night as well as puke on the couch and urinating all over the bathroom floor in front of us. It seems as though the staff should have had the insight to control these "guests" so that everyone else's stay was more enjoyable. It was a cheap place to stay for a few days and was really close to the plaza.

There was a drunk client/employee (not sure) who was hostile and threatened a customer from Canada, with a knife and a bamboo pole. The staff didn't kick him out and he remained all night keeping everyone up and concerned. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
