Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating USA 9th August 2008 Female 25-30 4/5 Comments: The B&B was very clean, staff were very accomodating and nice, and the breakfast was lovely.I did, however, have a few problems with the directions provided to the B&B, even with SatNav. It seemed as though they were written for locals who know the roads. If you are leaving Kilkenny, follow the N10 towards Dublin. (That will get you out to the Dublin Road as the directions indicate). The B&B is a fair way out of Kilkenny, on the Dublin side, which worked out perfect for us.

If your lucky, he'll make you a traditional Irish breakfast. Very clean rooms, but there is no common area except the dining room. The house is 7 km outside Kilkenny, but there is a pub right up the street - just make sure you eat dinner before 8 because that is when they stop serving food there.

Also, the local pub stops serving food after 7pm so dont leave it too late like we did!

Set in a the countryside, very calm, family atmosphere. About 15 minutes by car from Kilkenny proper, unfortunately no public transportation.

You are unable to walk to the city of Kilkenny, but it's only about a 5-10 minute drive. Quiet and peaceful location. Nice little local's pub just down the road for a drink or two at the end of the day.

It's nice and tucked away but still only a 10 min drive into Kilkenny city center. Even when the power went out in the district(started at the local resturant we were eating at and hit the Ashbrook house). They brought us candles to use and were very concerned for our well being. I'd highly suggest to anyone looking for a home away from home.
