It doesn't has a staff at the counter at. Sometime, you need to wait for them for 5 mins after a ring. You should be ware of the pick pocket. the toliets and room are clean.

The rooms are big, bathrooms clean, common room cosy and the manager is definitely the heart of the hostel! Location is perfect if you are traveling by bus (bus stop is 2 foot steps away) and if you are traveling by car, there is a car park right in front of the hostel. This is the best hostel in Clifden.

The sitting room downstairs is especially nice with boardgames and a great view on main-street. Only two drawbacks: the kitchen is a bit shabby and not very clean. The more important thing: there are no locks antwhere on the room-doors and front door is open all day. Nothing got away, but it could have very easily. Otherwise the hostel is very cozy and charming, right in the "city" centre.

My sister and i circled the whole thing 4-5 times in about an hour and didnt find much. There are some cute stores but they close early, and the nightlife is pretty lame. Not many young people there at all.
