The couple that run the hotel were very nice people and took an interest in what you were doing while visiting Devon. I'd go there again. Breakfast was so good after a night out. The location was very good to it's out of the tourist part of town very quiet area but 5 minutes from the seafront.

The rooms are basic but clean and modern. The brekkies are delicious with many options (i recommend the veggie full english). The owners, Sarah and Clifton (i think thats their names! ) are lovely people who make you feel very welcome. Mostly i liked the little things about this place, eg. The handwash/ showergels are not tested on animals. Fairtrade tea and coffee available. I would stay here again.

The room was fantastic and the cooked breakfast was something of restaurant quality. The location isn't very good if you don't have a car, as it would be quite a walk to the city centre. The streets are also a little confusing with all the hills, because the local map supplied is really hard to follow. But the actual lodge was great.
